Should You Try Channeling?

My spiritual growth took a tremendous turn when I first began to channel. Spiritual channeling is a process whereby an individual becomes a channel like on a radio. A connection where we tune in from the physical world into the world of spirit. It’s different from meditation. In meditation, you are normally seeking quiet contemplation although you may find yourself connecting with angels, guides, ancestors, ascended masters, and the like. Unlike mediums who tend to contact departed loved ones. The entities that connect with channels are typically spirit guides. Channels use their physical bodies to speak with their guides.

Many times, channelers encounter the same entity or entities repeatedly. You may only find that you speak to one specific spirit guide. Others have several guides or you may have more sent to you as time goes on. Through you they pass on their knowledge and their wisdom for your own personal growth or sometimes messages for others.

It’s important to tell you, that like everything to do with spirituality, everyone is unique. My personal experience will likely not be the same as yours. There is no right or wrong. Your gift is given to you, and it is for you to receive and share. Trust in that.

Most who begin to channel start to channel for themselves. As time goes on you may find that you begin to get knowledge and information for others and feel compelled to share it with them. I’m going to be honest that this can be scary. Especially if you are not fully out of your spiritual closet.

Remember, spirit guides don’t waste their time. If you get a message it is meant to be shared. The person it is meant for is ready to receive it. Up to this point in my life, I’m at 100% of giving messages and having them received with appreciation and gratitude. Yes, people will cry, many do, but perhaps that is exactly what they needed. Even if someone initially gets weirded out or stops talking with you, the message was necessary for their spiritual growth. By the way, no one has stopped talking to me but maybe got a little weirded out at first.

A quick note on giving messages to others.

If you get a message for someone, it is important to make it the clearest possible channel for that person. In other words, write it out as closely as possible to what the spirit guide shares with you. Don’t try to add your own spin on it. That isn’t the role of a channel. Spirit guides prefer to share messages for others when they know they can work with channels they can trust.

However, there is a way to deliver a message to someone. You don’t have to be intense and in someone’s face. If they don’t want it than that it their free will. Although, I’ve never had someone not want a message. After all, humans are curious beings.

There have been times where I’ve received a message for someone. I’ll begin by telling them what I do. This can be a scary thing, there really is no turning back once you’ve outed yourself. Then I’ll offer them the channeled reading and tell them to read it on their own time if they aren’t comfortable reading it there. Then you’ve done your role. The rest is up to Spirit.

It is likely that they will connect back to you and share with you their experience, but this isn’t always the case. Just know that you have fulfilled the role that Spirit has asked of you and that is enough. If you find they are pulling away from you, then certainly offer an olive branch. Let them know that you hope they are okay and that you are there to talk if they need you. Share these beautiful messages with love and compassion.

Most of my channeled messages are for me. Many times, I’ll begin my channeling session with a question. You can ask them literally anything. How cool is that! When I first began, I was honoured that they were speaking to me. I didn’t feel it was right to ask questions. As time went on and I became more comfortable with my spirit guide, he’d ask me to ask a question, although honestly he usually already knew what was on my mind.
