Do You Believe in Angels?

Angels can be found in many of the world’s major religions. We find them in Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and many other spiritual traditions. It’s challenging to determine how many people worldwide believe in angels. However, some of the reports I’ve seen state that about 70% of Christians, 50% of Muslims and 50% of Hindus believe in them. That is only three of the numerous religions worldwide that have faith in these benevolent beings. So, do you believe in angels?

What is it about this connection that people have with angels? After all, what is there not to like about them? They are heavenly, compassionate, and loving. Their sole purpose in your life is to guide and watch out for you. You can always call on them and they will always offer their help to you.

In the past, I hadn’t specifically reached out to angels for help. I think in some way I took them for granted. I’ve always had faith that angels are among us and with us. Although I never really embraced the connection. I thought if I needed them, they’d be there. The interesting part is, I’ve accumulated many objects that represent angels throughout my lifetime. In fact, as I sit and write this, there are four angel figurines within my eyesight. Perhaps they are more important in my life than I have ever consciously recognized. They are like my guards in this life. I’m truly thankful for them and they deserve more recognition than I’ve given to them.

If you ask me, I’d say that yes, I do believe in angels. Have I had any personal experiences with them? I’d have to say, not that I’m aware of. However, I think that is one of the amazing things about angels. They are there when we least expect them and when we need them the most. I’m sure there are times we don’t even know it was an angel who offered us that helping hand.

You might be questioning if I’m getting Earth angels and heaven angels mixed up. Earth angels are those amazing humans on Earth that we sometimes refer to as empaths or sensitives. They know deep within that it is their purpose to offer love and guidance to others. In fact, any human can be an Earth angel. All you need is the desire to do something kind for someone else. Maybe you’ve been an Earth angel for someone else in their time of need.

Heavenly angels are these benevolent beings that we’ve heard sit up in the clouds and help mortals. They are generally in our lives for brief periods of time and then seem to vanish. Personally, I’m not convinced that they sit up in heaven on clouds. I imagine that they too could be walking among us.

My mom used to watch this older TV series called Highway to Heaven. It was about an angel who would come to Earth and help humans with their challenges. It got me thinking about the times in my life when I felt alone. When I really needed guidance or help, it felt that out of nowhere something happened. Out of nowhere someone showed up and had the answer or offered the guidance I needed, and then poof…they were gone again. Their assignment was complete.

I’ve heard many stories of people having these dramatic situations and then someone helped them, maybe even saved their life. They turned around to thank them and they were gone. Vanished into thin air without a trace. Have you ever experienced anything like that?

Angelic help is all around us. Even if we don’t always recognize it, we may be receiving angelic help right before our eyes. Maybe it isn’t a physical person in front of you but an actual sign telling you to stop. An unknown light leading you through darkness. Maybe you’ll see other signs that represent to you a connection to an angel like feathers or a cloud shaped like an angel or wings. Be present and take notice of the times they try to connect with us.

There may be other times when you find yourself in the company of an angel. Between you there exists instant comfort and connection. The conversation is effortless or the discussion gets your mind turning, offers you a step forward in your journey, or brings clarity to a question you’ve been struggling with. Normally they radiate a lovely light. There is something about their presence that makes it easy to trust them. Then like a gentle breeze, they are gone but their impression and act of kindness remain with you.
